Designed Around Your Space, Installed by Our Team

Most closets do one thing: hold more than they should. Kitchen Wise Closet Wise of Raleigh works with Apex homeowners to replace that chaos with custom closet design services that actually fit how you live.

Builder-grade closets often leave vertical space, corners, and floor area underused. We plan each system around the closet’s dimensions, your hanging and folded items, shoe storage, accessories, and daily routine. Reach-in closets and walk-in closets require different layouts, so the design accounts for the available width, depth, access, and storage priorities.

Custom Closet Systems for Every Room

We design closets for bedrooms, entryways, and hallways. Whether you’re working with a compact reach-in or a walk-in that’s never quite come together, our team creates custom designs that match the space and your wardrobe.

A reach-in system can organize hanging garments, folded clothing, shoes, and accessories within a limited opening. Walk-in closet systems can create dedicated zones for hanging, shelving, drawers, and frequently used items.

Systems can include the features that solve your actual storage problems:

Adjustable shelving that accommodates a changing wardrobe without replacing the entire system
Custom drawers sized for everything from folded shirts to jewelry
Space-saving hanging systems that eliminate the single-rod look and separate garments by length or category
Built-in shelving and drawers that add function without eating floor space

For homeowners who want more than one room addressed, we also offer whole-home organization services covering kitchens, pantries, garages, laundry rooms, and more.

About Us

How the Process Works for Apex Homeowners

We built our process to be straightforward. You make one call. We take it from there.

Each project follows four steps:

Step 1: Complimentary In-Home Consultation
Our team visits your home, measures the space, and asks the questions that matter: how you get ready in the morning, what you store, and what drives you crazy about the current setup. There’s no cost and no obligation.
Step 2: Custom Design Review
We create a custom design based on everything we learned. You review it, request adjustments, and approve the final plan before any work begins. The plan moves forward after your sign-off.
Step 3: Professional Installation
After you approve the design, we schedule professional installation. The installation plan accounts for access to the room and the components included in your approved closet design.
Step 4: Final Walkthrough
When installation is complete, we walk through the finished closet with you. If anything isn’t exactly right, our 100% satisfaction guarantee means we address it.

Coordinated Closet Design & Installation

We’re a single team for design and installation, so your project has continuity from design review through the final walkthrough.

Our approach also looks beyond the closet. We think about how your storage connects to your laundry routine, your entryway, and other areas of your home. When it comes to finishes and hardware, we offer a range of styles to complement your existing aesthetic. A closet system should look like it belongs there.

Common Closet Problems a Custom System Can Solve

Single-Rod Layouts
Most builder-grade closets come with one shelf and one rod. That single configuration leaves vertical space unused and gives you no way to separate shirts from jackets, shoes from bags, or your items from your partner’s. It’s not a storage system. It’s a starting point that never got finished.

Walk-In Layouts
Walk-in closets with generous square footage often feel cramped because the layout was never designed around what’s actually in the room. Towers, defined hanging zones, and dedicated sections for shoes and accessories give each category a clear place without relying on a single rod and shelf.

Shared Closet Zones
Shared closets bring their own friction. When two people share one space without defined sections, mornings become a negotiation. A well-designed system gives each person dedicated hanging, shelf, and drawer space so clothing and accessories don’t compete for the same area.

Seasonal Storage
Seasonal storage is another common challenge. Coats, outdoor gear, and extra bedding need somewhere to live when they’re not in rotation. A designed system includes high or low sections built for items that move in and out by season. Because adjustable shelving can be repositioned as your wardrobe changes, the layout can accommodate new storage priorities over time.

Custom Closet Design vs. Off-the-Shelf Kits

Home improvement stores sell closet kits in fixed configurations. They come in a handful of widths and heights, built around an average closet that may not resemble yours at all. You measure, cut, and adapt your belongings to whatever the kit allows.

A custom closet installation in Apex starts from the other direction. We measure your actual space, including ceiling height and door swing, then design a system around what you own and how you use it. The number of hanging garments, pairs of shoes, folded items, and accessories all shape the final layout.

During the design consultation, you also get to see and select hardware before anything is ordered. Drawer glides, rod styles, and door options affect how the closet feels every day, not just how it looks in a photo. Making those choices before installation can help reduce surprises afterward.

The goal is a closet that fits the available space, holds what you actually own, and supports the way you get dressed. That’s the difference a custom design makes.
